I have studied biology in Lyon and Bordeaux (France) and completed my PhD in microbiology-immunology at the university of Bordeaux in 2011. Part of my work has focused on the investigation of Candida - host cells interactions through cellular and molecular biology approaches. Then, I wanted to address biological questions from another point of view, i.e. by integrating biophysical approaches through nanotechnologies applied to bio-surfaces. This has been achieved during my postdoc (2011-2015) in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). During this stay, I have used and developed advanced atomic force microscopy methods to decipher microbial surface properties at high resolution (single-cell and single-molecule scales). Now I take advantage of my multidisciplinary profile and I combine my competences in biology, physical chemistry and nanobiophysics to better understand the molecular mechanisms governing microbial cell surface properties and to create innovative antibiofilm surfaces (see "Research projects").
